Jesus Christ is the King of Kings |
TO THE BIBLE: John 14:6-7
“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to
the Father except through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My
Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.””
The Bible says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word
was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1). That “Word” that the Bible
says, “was God” became flesh—Jesus—and dwelt among us: “And the Word became
flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only
begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:14).
Now, the prophecy that came forth before the birth of Jesus
also foretold His divinity: ““Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear
a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with
us”” (Matthew 1:23). It was Jesus who walked the streets of Galilee, as
“Emmanuel—God with us.” When the people saw Him, the mighty miracles and great
signs and wonders that He did, notice what they said “…God has visited His
people” (Luke 7:16).
The Bible tells us that the fullness of the Godhead bodily
dwells in Jesus. So, when you see Jesus, you wouldn’t need to look out for the
Holy Spirit or the Father; He’s the complete embodiment of Deity. Colossians 1:19
says, “…it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell.” So,
Jesus is the outward expression of the Godhead. When we get to heaven, we won’t
find the Father, Son and Holy Spirit sitting on different thrones; we’ll only
find one seated in the fullness of God on the throne, and His name is Jesus
(Revelation 7:17).
Jesus Christ is Lord |
So today, celebrate the divinity of Jesus, His Lordship and rulership over your life. He’s the joy of heaven and hope of the earth. He’s the Most High, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone is worthy of all praise, worship and adoration.
The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 10:30 says “but of him are
ye in Christ Jesus, of him, of God in Christ Jesus who himself of God is made
unto us wisdom and righteousness and sanctification and Redemption.” See, we
are made unto Him something by God Which He does tell us and He's made unto us
what he already listed in that place. Now I want to begin with that. Let's look
at something here; He says, of him are you in Christ Jesus who of God is made
unto us…;
Christ Jesus is made unto us. In other words, Christ Jesus
means something to us. What does He mean to you, who is He to you? You know for
a lot of people He is our Savior but did you notice, in the above scripture, he
didn’t use the word savior but He is our savior. Most know him with two terms
only;1. Jesus is my Savior 2. Jesus is my lord. .
But they don't understand all that is wrapped up in those
two words. Now, he tells us something and he doesn't even use any of those two.
He says God has made Jesus wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and
redemption. To explain this to you, let me go to the basics, the fundamentals
of Salvation. In Romans 10:9 the scriptures declare; “if thou shall confess
with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shall believe with thy heart…” There are two
things, he says if thou shall do - confess with thy mouth and believe in thine
heart. “If thou shall confess with thy mouth, the Lord Jesus and shall believe
in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved.”
There's no other way to be saved. If you have received salvation for your
spirit, for your soul, this was what you had to do and if you're not sure of
your salvation it's because this hasn't mean anything to you or maybe you
haven't even done it.
King Jesus |
THE GREATEST NAME OF ALL
For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have
put on Christ (Galatians 3:27).
Philippians 2:9-10 tells us that God has vested all
authority in the wonderful and matchless Name of Jesus: “Wherefore God also
hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That
at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in
earth, and things under the earth.”
From the very moment you confessed His Lordship over your
life, the Name of Jesus was named upon you; you were baptized into, and have
become a part of, that Name: “For as many of you as have been baptized into
Christ have put on Christ” (Galatians 3:27). So now, you can answer that Name.
Romans 8:17 says “And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs
with Christ…” This means whatever belongs to Jesus belongs to you, including
his Name. Remember, the importance of a name is the power behind it and all
that that name represents.
Jesus Christ the King |
Sadly, many Christians have never been taught to understand
this reality; they’re ignorant of the triumphant life that God has given us in
Christ Jesus. For that reason, they’ve settled for religion; and Christianity
isn’t a religion. Christianity is living in the Name of Jesus; it’s the life of
God lived out through you. You’re not ordinary. Christ is your life; the Name
of Jesus has been named upon you! You’re one with Him, for as He is, so are you
in this world (1 John 4:17).
There’s power in the Name of Jesus; use that Name to cast
out devils, heal the sick, raise the dead, and live triumphantly in this world
to His glory. At the mention of that Name every knee bows; in heaven, in the
earth, and under the earth (Philippians 2:10).
